Description: Returned from the dead with a demon attached to her
Most recently: Sho'dan, who knew her as 'J' in her former life, was told of Kerri's change into a more demonic form and came looking for her. During the confrontation, she revealed that she remembered everything from her former life finally, including the extent of their friendship in which she had fallen deeply in love with him, though he never felt the same for her. It wasn't a fight so much as a tribute to the extensive back story between the two, and it ended well enough - with her admitting that she'd chosen to embrace her symbiosis with the demon that attached itself to her as she fought her way out of the hell she'd been imprisoned in after her death.
Where it goes from here, I'm not sure. She's no longer her old self, in spite of remembering that life, but without Corvin, the man who introduced her new self to love and companionship in her new life, she's no longer Kerri either. I always wanted her to lean a little more to the insane side, but the rp has never leant itself to that, and with this last scene, I see her using those stronger roots from her old life to re-make herself into an entirely new entity. Just what kind of entity isn't clear in my mind yet.

Personality: Gwen's young and brash. She's the type to rush into a situation without thinking, and she's been lucky enough so far that this hasn't come back to bite her on the butt. She's fiesty and outspoken with a stubborn streak a mile wide.
Most recently: Gwen finally met her real grandfather, Kaleb, and the two have hit it off famously. She was apprehensive at first after finding out about his past and how he came to actually -be- her grandfather, but it became obvious to her during their first meeting that he's changed since then. It doesn't hurt that he seems to adore her and has given her a beautiful blue pendant that is charmed with the power of flight (just in time to get her travel power!).
Just when she felt like life was already getting good again, Gwen's father tracked her down through the mage who helped her find her way to this world. Of course, one date later, she had a bit of a reality check by someone who knows her secret, so now, she's torn between her past, who she is while out of the mask, and even who she is when wearing the mask.
And she thought life was complicated before... :P

Bio info: Aislin Hanlin was an army brat growing up in the shadow of 3 older brothers who each became successful career officers as they followed in their father's footsteps. So, Aislin joined the navy.
Almost from the beginning, she showed a great deal of promise, but she also showed an equal aptitude for getting into trouble. She was labelled reckless and cocky by her superiors, brilliant by her peers, and trouble by everyone else.
Her carreer in the navy came to an abrupt end with a court martial for disobeying a direct order in a combat situation. Fortunately for her, her mentor and friend, Beth McClain who later went on to become the hero known as Pearl Thunder, was able to call in a favor, and her sentence was commuted. She was given a dishonorable discharge and released. Now, she'll tell you that she's much more level-headed. Yeah...and if you believe that, there''s this bridge in Brooklyn, she''d like to sell you...cheap....

"My story? It seems a bit tame compared to what I've seen and heard since I got here. It started because I can't help but overhear things I shouldn't.
"See...my grandfather is Aiden Zellar. I know the name doesn't mean much here, but back home, he's a living legend. He saved a whole country. Yeah. Try growing up in a world where your last name is the same as the great mage who saved the whole frickin' country. It's like having this great big label pasted across your forehead reading "Even if I'm the best, I'll never be my grandpa!" And then, there's my grandmother. She's probably considered the most dangerous woman in the world with a blade. Two, actually. She's got this cuisinart thing going on that kicks ass.
"My parents probably bore the brunt of all that a bit more, I guess. Their parents were close friends and all that, and they grew up with each other. They were sweet, and my father always said Mother grounded him in a way with her gentle nature.
"What hurt most was losing her. She and I weren't the close mother-daughter bonded type. I got along better with my Aunt Lara - even now, she's known as the "wild princess", you know? Couldn't be tamed and all that. Lara's great, and she taught me more about swordplay than I suspect even my grandmother can remember.
"Right...why I'm here. Well, it's like this. I overheard a conversation I shouldn't have between my grandparents after my dad took off. He took my mother's death hard. Really hard. I've never seen him so...broken. He didn't even stay for her memorial. I was sitting in this sort of quiet spot near the balcony where no one ever sees me. Kind of like a perch my aunt showed me that she used to use for thinking?
"Anyway, they were discussing my father, and my grandmother said something that made no damn sense.
"She said she wondered if it was right, never telling my father that he was 'Kaleb's son'.
"So...if I'm not a Zellar, then what the hell am I?
"And who the hell is Kaleb?"
