Dark Liberator

Lydia Waters sought power from the Netherworld through magical study. In that search for ultimate power, she had the misfortune of stumbling across a secret tome that was highly prized and desired by a dark mystical society. No match for them, Lydia was enslaved by their magic in a spell that sapped her will and left her neither dead nor alive. When the rituals described in the tome were performed, disaster ensued, and the members of the mystical society that were present were consumed by it. Lydia was caught in the resultant backlash of dark magic, barely surviving. In the wake of this event, however, she found herself melded somehow with that darkness, and she now seeks others enslaved by evil to set them free.
